The CrUX History API was released over a year ago and we’ve seen a number of great third-party apps spring up to visualize this data. We thought it was time we offered a way to show this data too.
For more info on the CrUX History API see this guide:
Before the CrUX History API, the only way to view the historical data was through the BigQuery dataset, or the CrUX Dashboard built on top of this.
While that’s great for querying the CrUX data, it’s a little slow for a dashboard and suffers from capacity issues on release day.
The CrUX History API is much more performant for real-time lookups, and also gives a weekly data, rather than being limited to the monthly data.
We encourage you to try CrUX Vis as we are intending to replace the CrUX Dashboard in future.
