ZAKI (ざき) is an Ultimate King Dedede main from Japan and is considered the definitive best King Dedede player of all time. He is the only King Dedede player who made top 8 at major tournament, placing 5th at Umebura SP 2, and he remains a common sight within top 32 of most majors he has attended. With Dedede, he has wins over Kome, kameme, Umeki, Elegant, Kaninabe, HIKARU, Atelier, and Rarukun. ZAKI is ranked 38th on the Experimental Smash Player Rankings; was formerly ranked 39th on the discontinued Japan Player Rankings; and has ranked as high as 130th on the OrionRank 2022; the only time a King Dedede player has been ranked globally.
In Smash 4, ZAKI was also considered as the best King Dedede player of all time, being ranked 43rd on the JAPAN Power Rankings, and having defeated Charlie, Rags, Ri-ma, Chanshu, FILIP, and Nasubi. His most famous achievement was defeating MkLeo, the best player in the world at the time, at 2GG: Hyrule Saga, sending him in Losers Bracket, one of the largest upsets from a low-tier character in Smash 4's history. Despite using a poor character, ZAKI achieved impressive results such as 17th at 2GG: Hyrule Saga, but also 17th at Smash 'N' Splash 4, Sumabato Smash 4 Final, Umebura Smash 4 Final and 33rd at MomoCon 2018, notably without the use of secondaries, unlike many other top King Dedede players. As such, he remains the undisputed best King Dedede player of all time.
