I particularly appreciate the commitment to realism, it effectively illustrates Penn’s evolution into an emerging tyrant rather than presenting her as a one dimensional antagonist. The political tension is gripping, but Kate’s growth is what makes it exceptional. Despite the fear, uncertainty and pressure to follow protocol, she keeps fighting for what she believes is right, even when it could cost her marriage and career. Keri Russell makes that struggle feel so real. Kate is frustrated, afraid and sometimes isolated. Watching her conviction give others the courage to reconsider their own choices was incredibly powerful (Almost spoiler alert) Her relationship with Hal adds another layer, whether they can truly trust each other and be loyal regardless of the situation. The final scene stayed with me. Kate has never looked more like a leader. Outstanding performances and a season that deserves a continuation. Netflix DO NOT CANCEL IT!
