Communications Physics is now live on Springer Nature's manuscript tracking system, SNAPP. The system is designed to be intuitive and simple to use for our authors, reviewers and editorial board members. Snapp is built in-house by Springer Nature, allowing it to continuously evolve to respond to researchers needs

In October, we thank Tong-pu Yu for his invaluable contributions to peer review. Dr. Yu has more than 20 years of experience in exploring relativistic laser-plasma physics and applications, e.g., laser-driven particle acceleration, novel radiation source, high field quantum-electrodynamics (QED), and laser-nuclear physics, via theory and numerical simulations as well as partially experiments.

From 8 of September 2026, all new submissions, if accepted, will have the reviewer comments and authors rebuttal published alongside the paper. This aligns with what the practice of other journals in the Nature Portfolio, including Nature. For accepted manuscripts submitted prior to 8th September transparent peer review remains optional.
