ORCID

As part of our efforts to improve transparency in authorship, we ask all corresponding authors of accepted papers to provide their Open Researcher and Contributor Identifier (ORCID) ID, before submitting the final version of the manuscript.

To do this, authors will need to:

  1. Log in using this link - Submit manuscript
  2. Under 'General Tasks', click ‘Modify My Springer Nature Account’
  3. Under the ‘Personal Profile’ tab, click ‘Create/link an Open Researcher Contributor ID (ORCID)’
  • If you have an ORCID account, enter your ORCID email and password.
  • If you don’t have an ORCID account, you can create one at this stage.
  • Linking ORCID and Springer Nature accounts can be done by each author at any time prior to acceptance.

Please note that it is not possible to add/modify ORCID details at the post-accept proof stage. Non-corresponding authors do not have to link their ORCIDs but are encouraged to add their ORCID numbers into the Manuscript file.

For more information, please visit ORCID at Springer Nature. If you experience technical issues, please contact the Platform Support Helpdesk.
