ExaDev

Community. It's really important to us. One of the unique things about ExaDev is that we employ people in slightly unconventional areas for what we do. Anglesey and Lancaster are our main hubs. In these places with a more affordable cost of living, we can offer people the chance to work at the cutting edge of their profession, and have a great quality of life. We want to be right at the heart of the tech community, supplying and leaving behind expertise in delivering tech startups, that I hope provides a fabric of experience to help the next generation of entrepreneurs in these places. That's just what we're doing in Lancaster with Software Lancaster and Software Lancaster Talks (formerly PyData Lancaster). And boy, is the community strong. Over 50 people turned out in the cold and wet November weather to see Alexander Jung and Unikraft in Fraser House Hub. Thank you to everyone who came and made it a huge success, you'll see us again in January with another one. And don't forget - we'll be in the pub as usual this Friday with Software Lancaster - this community never sleeps.

Join us for our first talk of our new Software Lancaster Talks series on Monday, 17th November 2025 at 6pm. Unikraft is a cloud‑infrastructure startup building a millisecond‑native platform that leverages lightweight unikernel technology to dramatically boost scalability and efficiency. I was delighted to be invited to a symposium today by Carlos of CCI Photonics to moderate a panel discussion of AI Health Tech startups in the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Now, health and medical tech isn't my primary focus, but we've worked in that space before and I retain more than a passing interest. Plus, the angle was AI, something that I have a lot more exposure to! We had some incredibly insightful discussion from some impressive founders in this space - Martin Fergie, Molly Jowsey and Jonti Hudson. They shared their journeys, impressions of trying to deliver technical innovations in the context of the NHS, the regulatory landscape in the UK healthcare sector, the mindset you have to have, and the extra barriers you have to break through to commercialise health tech. Thank you to the founders for your time, and to CCI Photonics for organising. I had a blast. I hope everyone else did.

We only bloody won! A global search award for AdPeak AI! What an achievement! Super chuffed with global recognition of what we've built - ExaDev 94n Digital Supplyant Plumb2u - partners coming together to deliver something exceptional. It's onwards and upwards from here, and the recognition makes it all the sweeter.
