Copyright and Open Access Policy

The Journal of Investigational Allergology and Clinical Immunology (JIACI) publishes its contents in open access in order to promote the broad dissemination, accessibility, and appropriate reuse of scientific knowledge.

Unless otherwise stated, authors retain copyright of their work. By submitting a manuscript to JIACI and, if the manuscript is accepted, proceeding to publication, the authors grant the Journal the right to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, and identify itself as the original publisher of the article in all forms and media, including print, electronic platforms, indexing services, repositories, and databases.

All articles published in JIACI are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), unless a different licensing arrangement is expressly indicated.

Creative Commons License

Under the terms of the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, users may copy, share, distribute, reproduce, and adapt the published material in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes, provided that:

  • Appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and to JIACI as the original publisher
  • A link to the relevant Creative Commons license is provided
  • Any modifications, adaptations, or changes made to the original material are clearly indicated

No use of the published material may imply endorsement by the authors or by the Journal unless such endorsement has been expressly granted.

Commercial use of material published under this license is not permitted unless prior permission is obtained from the relevant rights holder where required.

Author Rights

Authors retain the copyright in their published articles.

By publishing in JIACI, authors grant the Journal a non-exclusive license to publish the work, to identify itself as the original publisher, and to disseminate the article through the Journal website, bibliographic databases, abstracting and indexing services, institutional and thematic repositories, and other lawful distribution channels.

Authors may also share and disseminate the final published version of their article, provided that full bibliographic citation to the original JIACI publication is included.

Third-Party Material

Authors are responsible for ensuring that any third-party material included in the manuscript, such as figures, tables, illustrations, photographs, questionnaires, or substantial text extracts, may be lawfully reproduced in the article.

Where such material is not original and is not covered by a license compatible with the Journal’s open-access policy, authors must obtain written permission from the copyright holder before submission or, at the latest, before publication.

Any third-party material not covered by the article’s Creative Commons license must be clearly identified in the corresponding credit line. Responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of permissions rests entirely with the authors.

Permissions and Author Warranties

By submitting a manuscript to JIACI, the authors confirm that:

  • The manuscript is original, except for material properly cited and, where necessary, reproduced with permission
  • The manuscript does not infringe the copyright, moral rights, or other intellectual property rights of any third party
  • All necessary permissions for the reuse of copyrighted material have been obtained
  • The manuscript may be lawfully published under the licensing terms established by the Journal

The authors remain solely responsible for any breach of copyright or permissions obligations.
