IKEA and XBOX
YXSTABY collection

YXSTABY is our latest gaming collection from a brand new collaboration with XBOX, combining the strengths of our home furnishing knowledge with their gaming expertise. As always, we want to help create a better everyday life for the many. People love gaming, but not everyone likes for it to take over their home. The IKEA designers and product developer are gamers themselves, so the collection is truly made by gamers, for gamers.

Game on!

The idea behind YXSTABY was to make it easier for everyone to live their best gaming lives. Whether locking in or lounging out, in-game or on the sofa, this collection makes room for gaming everywhere, without sacrificing function or comfort. With a seamless blend of functionality and simple, Scandinavian design, there's no need to compromise on style.

"As soon as we met, we knew we were a good fit. Both IKEA and XBOX want to make play accessible to as many people as possible."

A collection for all

The products in the YXSTABY collection range from a sleek TV stand on castors and a light lounge chair to a display box with mirrors that makes the most of your favourite small objects. Even though all items were designed with gaming in mind, they work just as well when your game is powered down.

A lot of time was spent on the details: finding the perfect materials, optimal proportions, the right colours. This collection widens the traditional view of what a gaming setup is to what it can be. No need to put things away when done playing – each item blends seamlessly and adds to the feeling of home.

"We share a common design ethos: we want to help people solve the challenges they face in their everyday lives."
