This video thumbnailer can be used by file managers to create thumbnails for
your video files. The thumbnailer uses ffmpeg to decode frames from the video
files, so supported videoformats depend on the configuration flags of ffmpeg.
This thumbnailer was designed to be as fast and lightweight as possible. The
only dependencies are ffmpeg, libjpeg and libpng.
===> The following configuration options are available for ffmpegthumbnailer-2.3.1:
AUDIO_THUMBNAILER=on: Register as a system thumbnailer for audio files
THUMBNAILER=on: Register as a system thumbnailer for video files
===> Use 'make config' to modify these settings
*/*: Use C.UTF-8 locale
Ports 02f27a83b44d fixed the ports tree to the C locale so it would work
correctly in environments where users use a locale that isn't compatible
with the C locale, e.g. xx_YY.UTF-8 where [A-Z] includes more than just
upper case letters. USE_LOCALE was introduced to let ports use another
locale if they needed it. The C.UTF-8 locale was created later on to be
mostly compatible with the C locale.
Switch the ports tree locale to C.UTF-8 and remove USE_LOCALE. The
world has moved to Unicode so all ports either require it or know how to
build correctly in a Unicode environment.

Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles
Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on
WWW: lines in pkg-descr files.
This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these
pkg-descr files.
Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)
Add WWW entries to port Makefiles
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the
ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These
URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources.
Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and
they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was
present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into
the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the
port specific URL to further information.
There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as
a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time.
(Only the first 15 lines of the commit message are shown above )
multimedia/ffmpegthumbnailer: Update to 2.2.2
- adds TEST option. For this a manual extract command was required
as the testing uses a UTF-8 encoded file name.

Bump PORTREVISION for ports depending on the canonical version of GCC

This includes ports

Change cmake default behaviour to outsource.
Ports that build out of source now simply can use "USES=cmake"
instead of "USES=cmake:outsource". Ports that fail to build
out of source now need to specify "USES=cmake:insource".
I tried to only set insource where explictely needed.

Update to 2.1.1.
- Convert to USE_GITHUB.
- Convert to USES=cmake.
- Add patch to prevent cmake trying to find the dl library, since in FreeBSD
the dl functions are in the Standard C library (libc) - see dlopen(3)
- Pet portlint with other patches (remake the patches with makepatch)
This update also allows multimedia/ffmpegthumbnailer to build against ffmpeg
3.0.x. The ports tree currently still has multimedia/ffmepg at version 2.8.6,
however this update is backwards compatible with ffmpeg 2.8.6. The update of
multimedia/ffmpeg to 3.0.x branch is waiting for ports which depend on it to
successfully build with the newer version of ffmpeg.

MASTER_SITES cleanup.
- Replace ${MASTER_SITE_FOO} with FOO.
- Merge MASTER_SITE_SUBDIR into MASTER_SITES when possible. (This means 99.9%
of the time.)
- Remove occurrences of MASTER_SITE_LOCAL when no subdirectory was present and
no hint of what it should be was present.
- Fix some logic.
- And generally, make things more simple and easy to understand.
While there, add magic values to the FESTIVAL, GENTOO, GIMP, GNUPG, QT and
SAMBA macros.
Also, replace some EXTRACT_SUFX occurences with USES=tar:*.

The FreeBSD GNOME team presents a Glib and Gtk+ 3 update.
This update updates Glib20 to 2.36 and Gtk+ 3.8
* The gio-fam-backend port that used gamin for the GFileMonitor API is gone.
It is replaced by a GIO kqueue implementation developed as part of a NetBSD
GSoC 2011 project by Dimitry Matveev.
* Fix a bug in the glib20 Makefile so it includes -lintl in the glib-2.0
pkgconfig file [1]. This broke static linking and newer binutils.
* Add introspection USE_GNOME component which sets GI_SCANNER_DISABLE_CACHE to
prevent creation of / root/.cache dir. Defaults to build & run depend,
but :build and :run switches available.
* New x11-toolkits/pangox-compat port and companion USE_GNOME component for
pangox support which was removed from the pango port. Add it to ports still
using pangox API.
