Morebus is set to introduce round-the-clock services on three routes.

The M1, M2, and 5 routes will run 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from Monday, September 15.

This was made possible by the bus operator's partnership with BCP Council and funding from the government's Bus Service Improvement Plan.

Richard Wade, Morebus general manager, said: "We know there is high demand for these extra services here, and are excited to be driving forward our bid to make buses an even more attractive proposition for those who may otherwise choose to travel by car.

"Persuading local people to switch from car to bus is particularly vital here because it contributes to reduced congestion and improved air quality across the area."

Alongside the new night services, the company announced several changes to existing timetables, made possible by the Bus Service Improvement Plan funding.

Morebus will run more journeys on all days of the week on route 14, between Poole and the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

Additional journeys have also been added to Sunday mornings and evenings on routes 16 and 17.

There are also reliability improvements to services to the New Forest area on routes 112, 120, 125 and 191/193.
