Widescreen Games
Widescreen Games was a video game development studio founded in December 1999 by Olivier Masclef, Dominique Peyronnet and Pierre Deltour. It was based in Lyon, France. The company acquired Kawaii Studio in 2006. In April 2009, the company ran into trouble when CD Projekt cancelled development on The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf, a title the company had worked on. The company was liquidated by the Bankruptcy Court of Lyon on July 9, 2009. Another game, Highlander, in which Widescreen Games had also worked on, was then cancelled by Square Enix on December 10, 2010.
