Visuals: On a white background, a red person (presumably representing a very young boy), which was the TVOKids mascot at the time, walks in from the right corner of the screen holding a red sign. The person stops in the middle of the screen, turns and faces the viewer, then lifts the sign in the air. As they do this, the words "tvo" and "kids" form on the sign.
Variants:
- A still variant is seen on some shows.
- Two station ID versions of the logo exist:
- Giselle's Big Backyard: It starts with pink, lime green, light pink, orange, robin's egg blue, yellow and brown mattresses, with the red person running. The person then touches the lime green mattress, with objects flying every time they touch the mattresses, then they touch the orange mattress, and the same does again, and finally the pink mattress. Then, they walk a bit, and pushes down all of the mattresses. The rest of it continues as normal. This was officially "Preschool".
- The Space: On a white background, a portal opens; an elevator with purple, green, grey, orange, blue, yellow and brown rectangle blocks. The elevator then disappears, and once it does, the red person walks in. They then stop and looks at the rectangle blocks, and making them spin. As they spin, various objects and toys appear, and then as the rectangle blocks stretch and transform into the red sign, the red person gets an idea; they touch the spinning rectangle blocks and turns it into a sign. Then, the rest of it continues as normal. This bumper was officially named "Afterschool".
- An in-credit version exists.
- A short version exists that starts when the person holds up the sign.
- On some shows, a copyright notice appears below the logo.
- A black background is sometimes used.
- A bumper for TVO Parents exists; in this bumper, the same mattresses from the "Afterschool" are shown, but some of the mattresses are swapped. A younger red person (who presumably represents a boy) walks and jumps a bit, trying to push the mattresses, but it's no use. A blue person (representing an adult) hen comes in. They wave asking the person if the younger red person needs help. They then both push the mattresses together and the objects and toys (some which are not the same ones from the "Afterschool" ident) appear. The red person leaves, and the blue person holds the blue sign.
Technique: CGI by Justin Stephenson who is the creative director. The producer was Trace Pictures.
Audio: The end theme of the show.
Availability: The long version appears on shows such as Look Kool and seasons 1-3 of Finding Stuff Out, and the short version appears on Dino Dan and some other shows. The two bumper variations of this logo were used as station IDs for both The Space and Giselle's Big Backyard blocks. The still variant was seen in Ella the Elephant and seasons 4-5 of Peep and the Big Wide World. The in-credit version appears in Wild Kratts, season 3 of Taste Buds, seasons 2-3 of Think Big, Rob the Robot, season 2 of Doggy Day School and the first season of Guess How Much I Love You.
Visuals: On a white background is the word "tvo" in a typewriter font. Next to it is "kids" in a different font, with the "d" having an eye and the "s" having teeth. All of the letters are in different colors. The letters in the word "kids" jump and dance, and then stop, with the eye and teeth disappearing.
Variants:
- On Odd Squad, the black underlined text "PRODUCED IN ASSOCIATION WITH" is seen above the logo.
- The text is sometimes stacked instead of going across.
- On That TVOKids' Show and The Space, Gisele's Big Backyard and Big Backyard News shorts, a copyright notice in black is seen below the logo.
- Sometimes, the logo has a white shadow on it.
- An in-credit version exists.
- Starting in 2020, the TVO logo text is red instead of salad green, light blue and light green.
- On one TVOKids promo for Elinor Wonders Why, the logo animates on the bottom left of a white border over footage of the series.
Technique: Toon-Boom from Head Gear Animation and produced by and animated by Isaac King.
Audio: An 8 note, light synth electronic tune, along with the "kids" text saying "whee" and laughing. A pop can be heard at the end. Composed by Boombox Sound.
Audio Variant: In other cases, the end theme of the show is used.
Availlablity:
- The in-credit PIAW text and white BG version can be seen on newer seasons and episodes of Odd Squad but is removed from PBS airings.
- The in-credit version appears at the end of season 4 and onwards of Finding Stuff Out, The Wacky Word Show, The Mystery Files, 16 Hudson and on Dino Dana plus many other shows, while the variant with black copyright info can be seen on Big Backyard News/Gisele's Big Backyard/The Space minishorts and That TVOKids' Show.
