Rogers Communications
Rogers Communications is a Canadian telecommunications and media company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. It was founded in 1960 by Ted Rogers, who at the time acquired CHFI-FM and the CTV station CFTO-TV. The company management is totally led by his family, with Edward Rogers taking over as the chairman since Ted's passing in 2008. One of the largest Canadian companies, Rogers operates telephone and Internet communication networks, and several television, radio and Internet stations and publications. The company acquired Cable Atlantic in 2000, and Shaw Communications in 2023. It signed a 10-year partnership deal with the American company Comcast in 2024.
Logo (2010s)
Visuals: On a white gradient background, the 3D logos for the following TV channels, radio stations and publications appear zooming out in order within different positions, all in red: Citytv (short "City" logo used during 2012-2018), SportsNet, Maclean's, 680News, The Biography Channel, Citytv.com, Hello! Canada, 98.1 CHFI, Chatelaine, FX, G4, Omni, and Today's Parent - several copies of these logos also appear. This is then followed by the large Rogers mobius strip logo symbol in white zooming out in front of the other logos, followed by the red Rogers logo with the text in its trademark red color. The other red logos fade out to a slightly visible monochrome color, as everything keeps slowly zooming out into place.
Technique: A mix of CGI and 2D computer animation.
Audio: A synth string note with several whooshing and beeping sounds, followed by the trademark 5-note Rogers jingle.
