NBC Films

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

NBC Films (also known as "NBC Enterprises", which would later reform in the late 1970s) was the domestic off-network production/distribution arm of the National Broadcasting Company, originally founded in 1952. Eventually, in 1973, the arm was spun off and sold alongside the library to National Telefilm Associates, following the imposition of the Financial Interest and Syndication Rules three years earlier.

Currently, most of the library is distributed by Skydance Corporation (via CBS Media Ventures), except for several episodes of You Bet Your Life with Buddy Hackett and Groucho Marx (fully distributed by NBCUniversal). Many of the other material distributed by the company, including certain Groucho Marx episodes of said show, has fallen in the public domain.
