Made Up Stories

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Made Up Stories is a production company founded by Bruna Papandrea after ending her partnership with Reese Witherspoon.

Logo (November 18, 2018-)

Visuals: The company name is in a loose, cursive font, balloon effect, and unfixed alignment against a floating dust particle background. A little girl with pigtails and wearing a bow is holding onto the string of the "p" and climbs it. She looks at the "s", which is separate from "tories", and bumps it towards the letters with her hand. Afterwards, she pulls down the "p" and the company name is aligned.

Variants:

  • A print version exists.
  • There is an alternate color scheme for this logo, replacing the black and white colors with white and hot pink respectively.
  • Sometimes, the logo is shortened.
  • Sometimes, it may share the screen with other logos.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A poignant flute score in the background alongside multiple women talking. Then, a little girl says "Tell me a story", followed by a slow, reverse cymbal sound. Otherwise, none.

Audio Variant: There is an abridged version of the soundtrack that slightly speeds up the girl's dialogue and the background music.

Availability: Can be seen on American/Australian movies and TV shows they have produced starting with Queen America. The hot pink-white color scheme variant was seen on the former show and Tell Me Your Secrets. The on-screen logo is seen on their movies such as The Nightingale and Penguin Bloom as well as Wolf Like Me.
