Lionsgate Canada is the Canadian branch of Lionsgate Films based in Toronto. The company went through multiple incarnations, beginning with Records on Wheels Limited on June 1, 1970[1] by Vito and Don Ierullo. From 1980 to 2005, the company was known as ROW Entertainment and then Entertainment One Income Fund (or eOne) in 2005. That June, the company acquired Koch Entertainment, expanding their distribution branch in Canada and the United States. The Koch brand name (including its music subsidiary) would later be folded into eOne in the summer of 2009.

In 2009, the company became known as E1 Entertainment until the next year, when it reverted back to the Entertainment One branding on July 16, 2010. On December 30, 2019, after American toy company Hasbro acquired the company, their future film and television projects began using the eOne name, absorbing the Allspark name with it a year later. On November 17, 2022, Hasbro announced that it was selling part of eOne's TV and film business not directly supporting their brand strategy, which includes all non-Hasbro assets ranging from scripted and unscripted television and films, but would exclude the company's ex-children's properties, which were already consolidated under Hasbro. On August 3, 2023, Hasbro announced the sale of eOne to Lionsgate for $500 million which was closed on December 27 of that year. On June 7, 2024, eOne rebranded to Lionsgate Canada, finally putting an end to the eOne name after its 19-year span.
