1st ID (1978?-1990?)

Visuals: On a black background with a bunch of differently colored stylized 7s (KAKM's logo at the time) is white text reading "KAKM Anchorage."

Variant: Sometimes, the ID will include a list of KAKM's translators.

Technique: A still card.

Audio: Usually an announcer saying something along the lines of: "Public Television for South Central Alaska, this is KAKM channel 7 Anchorage."

Audio Variant: Sometimes, a random song will play in the background alongside the announcer.

2nd ID (Early 1980s)

Visuals: On a black background, few video clips flip onto the screen one by one, which includes:

  • A snowy mountain range
  • A birds-eye view of Anchorage
  • An Alaska Native mask

The background then turns purple, and a white KAKM "7" logo scales outward horizontally onto the screen, spinning in a cylindrical fashion. The "7" settles at the bottom of the screen, and white text reading "KAKM ANCHORAGE" fades in above it.

Technique: Live action clips and scanimate.

Audio: A male announcer saying: "This is KAKM. Channel 7, Anchorage. Broadcasting from studios in Building K on the Anchorage Community College campus."

3rd ID (1990?-Mid 1990s)

Visuals: On a blue gradient background with a large "7" logo, the words "KAKM Anchorage", with "KAKM" larger and directly above "Anchorage", slowly zoom in.

Variant: There is a still variant that has the logo still with the text placed above the "7" instead of at its center. Below the "7," script-like text reads "The channel of choice."

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A female announcer saying: "The channel of choice. Channel 7, Anchorage."

Audio Variant: The still variant plays an excerpt of "Dreamin'" by George Benson and Earl Klugh alongside a male announcer saying: "You're watching KAKM, Channel 7, Anchorage."
