Insight Productions (stylized as insiGht PRODUCTIONS) is a television production company based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, founded in 1970 by Pen Densham and John Watson (both of whom then later founded Trilogy Entertainment Group). On May 18, 2018, a majority stake in the company was purchased by Boat Rocker Media. On March 24, 2025, Blue Ant Media announced its intention to acquire Insight, alongside Jam Filled Entertainment and Proper Television.

1st Logo (May 15, 1975?-1982)

Visuals: On a black background, there is the text "insiGht" connected in a narrow tubular font. A copyright stamp is seen below.

Technique: A still graphic.

Audio: The end theme of the show or film.

Availability: Seen on the short Secretariat: Big Red's Last Race.

2nd Logo (October 10, 1985-1997)

Visuals: On a black background, blue neon lights draw a rectangle, then the same "insiGht" text from the previous logo outlined inside. A copyright stamp pops in below.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: A ten-note bassoon theme accompanied by ascending synth chimes (introduced in the early 90s), which isn't usually heard. Most of the time, it has the closing theme of the show.

Availability: Can be seen on Tucker and The Horse Thief and The Truth about Alex. The version with the theme can be heard on some episodes of Ready or Not.

3rd Logo (November 10, 1997-2013)

Visuals: On a black background, an arc is drawn in by a glowing dot. At the end of the arc, the dot turns into a spark, and more lights draw a rectangle and the word "insiGht" like before, only the rectangle and text are drawing at the same time. There is also a mountain landscape in the logo. Throughout the logo, the perspective changes from head on to a right angle. Also, the Insight logo is now in a brown-white color instead of blue.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • Sometimes, a copyright stamp can be seen below the logo.
  • Later on, the logo was updated for HD. The lights are brighter and better quality, the logo zooms in, the mountain landscape moves with the logo, and the word "PRODUCTIONS" is also drawn in below the rectangle, spaced out to fit the logo.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Can be seen on Insight's output like Project Runway Canada, Animal Kingdom: The First Adventure, Top Chef Canada as well as the Juno Awards. Also seen on older seasons and episodes of The Amazing Race Canada and Canadian Idol.

4th Logo (2013-)

Visuals: On a black background, the Insight logo in a pale gold color zooms out. The logo shines from the arc to the spark, which then emits a bright golden light.

Variants:

  • In 2020, the text "CELEBRATING 40 YEARS" is shown underneath the logo replacing the word "PRODUCTIONS".
  • Starting in 2021, the byline "A BOAT ROCKER COMPANY" is seen with a line above it.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The end theme of the show or none.

Availability: It appears on their recent productions such as Top Chef Canada, Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble, and LOL: Last One Laughing Canada.
