IMC Home Video

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

IMC Home Video was the home video imprint of Intermedicom GmbH. The latter business would be established in 1985 by Rainer Ebeling, but it wouldn't be until October of 1989 when they registered Intermedicom as an official company.[1][2]

Logo (1989-1990?)

Visuals: Over a black-navy gradient starfield, full with a navy-black colored floor at the very bottom and cornflower-colored haze, an elongated metallic dodger blue bar wipes in by cyan sparkles, followed by another by a small size of it. A diamond outline is drawn afterwards, emitting a light blue glow. Upon reaching the upper vertex, the diamond is filled in metallic dodger blue, with cyan sparkles. Shortly, "IMC" in red is drawn in and is shifted above, offset at the front of the diamond. A white arch banner with the navy "HOME VIDEO" inscribed, flaps down and settles against the diamond beneath "IMC".

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A soft, but dreamy synth-pad/xylophone composition.
