WVIZ, named after the abbreviation viz or videlicet which is "namely" in Latin, is a PBS member station owned by Ideastream Public Media in Cleveland, Ohio. The company started broadcasting on February 7, 1965 which not only marked as Cleveland's first educational television station but it was the 100th such station in the United States. The company's focus was the production and broadcasting of educational television programs for schools. In 2000, WVIZ merged with WCPN to form Ideastream while still retaining the WVIZ name.
Visuals: On a red background, there is yellow text that says "WVIZ TV." Under it is "Cleveland, Ohio" also in yellow.
Technique: A still graphic.
Audio: An announcer saying "This program was produced by WVIZ-TV, Cleveland, Ohio."

Visuals: On live-action background footage of the Cleveland skyline, the yellow text "WVIZ' and under it "CLEVELAND" move from the top to the bottom middle of the screen.
Technique: Live-action and computer animation.
Audio: "Marionette Dance" by Don Voegeli.
Visuals: Over a black background, a rounded trapezoid-like shape, in blue, has the white text "wviz" in Futura Extra Bold appears with the PBS logo, with the same blue as the shape next to it, with the text "ideastream" below in the Bodoni font. Above is the text "This is a production of" in Arial. Additionally (in Arial), the station's website URL is below along with a copyright notice.
Technique: A still graphic.
Audio: Same as the Ideastream Public Media logo.
Visuals: Over a black background with white, floating orbs, a slightly rotated square, in white, appears. Then, another slightly rotated square (but in blue), covers the white square, each letter in "WVIZ" in Futura Extra Bold appears individually. Then the PBS logo, with the same blue as the square next to it, appears from a circle with the PBS "P-Head" and split appearing as well. The word "ideastream" in Bodoni appears with individual letters. Above, the same text "This is a production of" also appears. Below the logo, a similar, but smaller WVIZ logo appears, but without the PBS logo and ".org" appearing. Similar to the previous logo, the year and the copyright notice are on the bottom of the logo, but all of the text is in the Bodoni font.
Technique: 3d computer graphics.
Audio: Same as the 3rd logo.
Visuals: The individual call letters appear with the shape, in blue appear. After the last letter, the square, pans to the left to reveal the main background and the text "ideastream". The similar "This is a production of" text above and the "wviz.org" sequence also appear below.
Technique: 2D computer animation.
Audio: Same as the 3rd logo.
