Kernel

As of 2026-10-22, the 7.3 kernel seems to boot fine but the display will stay black after some initial log lines appearing in the console. Running linux-next (next-20261021) fixes the display issue, so the fix for the screen should arrive soon in an official kernel release.

Sleep / Suspend

The laptop will immediately wake up after suspend, unless you disable wakeup for the pcie6 device using sysfs:

echo disabled | sudo tee /sys/bus/pci/devices/0006:00:00.0/power/wakeup

And unbind the dwc3-qcom driver for the usb_hs device-tree node:

echo a200000.usb | sudo tee /sys/bus/platform/drivers/dwc3-qcom/unbind

And unbind the mhi driver for the modem:

echo 0006:01:00.0 | sudo tee /sys/bus/pci/drivers/mhi-pci-generic/unbind

Bug also documented here: https://github.com/linux-msm/laptops-kernel/issues/4

Modem

The ?ModemManager service picks up on the modem (lspci: 0006:01:00.0 Unassigned class [ff00]: Qualcomm Technologies, Inc Device [17cb:0309]), and seems to be able to use it with a default protocol:

$ sudo journalctl -u ModemManager
