
The Nakba Between 1947 and 1949, roughly 750,000 Palestinians were expelled or fled, and hundreds of villages were emptied or destroyed. On December 11th, 1948, UN Resolution 194 affirmed their right to return home. Nearly 78 years later, that return has never happened, and many of their descendants live in Gaza today.
