Game de Seishun (ゲームで青春) is a 1998 board game for the Sega Saturn, released exclusively in Japan. The game's title can be roughly translated to Game of Youth - its theme is travelling around a board to take players through various life stages up until young adulthood. It was released during a craze for life simulation games in Japan, sparked by Tokimeki Memorial.

Gameplay
At the start of the game, the player is asked their name, blood type, birthday, and personality. This has a subtle influence on their friendships with non-player characters.[4]
The player decides their path around the board without using dice. However, a randomly generated number determines how many steps they may move each turn.
There are five stages to the game, which use separate maps: kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, high school, and adulthood.
There are numerous career choices available to players, the overall categories of job including public servant, athlete, artist, and office worker. As the player progresses around the board, events that utilize non-player characters may occur. If the character is of the opposite sex, they may start dating the player character.[5]
In multiplayer mode, players will be judged depending on how fulfilling their life is at the end of the game.
History
The game received a simultaneous release on Saturn and PlayStation.
