The Supergirl movie is a fine summer popcorn flick, with thrilling action and a delightful Krypto, but lacks conviction in its main character.

Send confirmation emailI liked the movie. I related to how crippling a tragic loss in childhood can be. It was good to see a female taking down fascist & pedophiles, that's exactly what's needed today. It was nice to see a change from the overused superhero plot. Milly Alcock, looks like a new Jennifer Lawrence, & Jason Momoa was just outrageous & funny. I hope they make a sequel.
Excellent from the actors and actresses
Great movie
😅
Loved how the movie portrayed her as a flawed hero, cause can you imagine if you lost everything and everyone you ever knew like how could you not be cynical or traumatized I felt like the Movie did that really well and it’s not getting talked about more than it should.💯
An extension of the Superman saga, this film introduces his cousin Supergirl and tells her story on Earth. The plot mixes her journey with a young girl’s revenge arc and a side story about saving her dog. It’s an interesting concept, but the execution struggles.
Scoring System (out of 2 per category):
Story: 1.5/2 – Good idea, engaging setup.Plot: 0.5/2 – Weak flow, underdeveloped.Acting: 0.5/2 – Acceptable but not memorable.Visual Effects: 0/2 – Very poor, drags the film down.Enjoyment: 1.5/2 – Somewhat fun despite flaws.Final Score: 4/10
👉 A decent concept with weak delivery. Fans of the Superman universe might enjoy the lore, but overall it’s far below expectations.
Almost unwatchable...
