Wellbeing & happiness
These papers adapt the AF method to wellbeing measurement. Several build upon the example of the Royal Government of Bhutan’s Gross National Happiness index. Papers explore conceptual justifications for wellbeing domains and indicators, implement and interpret new measures, and/or analyse policy implications.

Workshops
On 19–20th February 2026, OPHI had the privilege to co-organise a workshop with the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences (PASS). Held at the Casina Pio IV in Vatican City, the workshop addressed ‘New Narratives and Metrics for Development: Exploring measures for Integral Human Development combining theological coherence, methodological rigour and practical usefulness’.
