Talk:Stone Slab
Wikification lost some information
[edit source]The wikification does not reference the commonly known "double-step".
The old Behavior section was removed and some useful information were lost, pasted back here in full for reference:
- Single-steps will destroy gravel and sand blocks that fall onto them.
- Single-steps affect lighting and liquids in the same manner full blocks do
- Double-steps will only drop one single step when broken
- When pushed onto a single-step by water, one will jump
- Double-steps cannot be made when there is a block above the single-step. Only single-steps can be placed in one-block-high gaps.
I think we should think about explicitly naming "single step" and "double step" (with or without the hyphens) in the article, and add back some of the missing behavior info. --meioziz 22:48, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
Done. Hope everything is as wanted. --Vholu 20:35, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
On Placement...
[edit source]Can a single slab be placed flush against the underside of an overhead block? I was considering this for purely aesthetic puroposes (since we obviously can't walk on ceilings). Might test it myself later. -- Techpriest88 21:58, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
No. There are only two configurations of slabs: in the bottom half of the cube (44) and two slabs making a full cube (43). —KPReid 03:14, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
Missing Usage
[edit source]This page is missing the Stone Slab's usage as an ingredient in crafting a Grindstone. --Nataly171 (talk) 04:02, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
