Merge request

I personally  Oppose, yes it has little info right now, but the behavior is not at all similar to ink sacs and merging would just add "only ink sac, only glow ink sac" all over the article. Dhranios (talk) (Join the wiki videos project!) 12:48, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

Personaly, I  Oppose the merge mainly becuase despite it having little info, they are too different. It's like merging Stone with Smooth Stone, their only similarities are name and (thats kinda it). For the Glow Ink Sac, the only similarity is name... and... More examples are Golden Apple and Enchanted Golden Apple as well.Humiebee (talk) 00:57, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

 Opposing this merge for consistency with other cases, like Golden Apple and Enchanted Golden Apple having been split from a merge, this page, in my opinion, does not have very little info and has enough differences from ink sacs to be notable enough to warrant its own page. Are 1-3 glow ink sacs dropped (no looting) or 1-4?

After talking with Unavailablehoax (talk • contribs • logs) in discord, the loot table clearly says 1-3 and unable to actually reproduce an instance of a glow squid dropping 4. Blockofnetherite ^{Talk Contributions} 18:57, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

This page currently says 1-4 (as of the time writing) as a user said that they killed a glow squid with their fists and it dropped 4 ink sacs. I went to the Glow Squid article and changed it from 1-3 to 1-4, but Unavailablehoax reverted it. Do they drop 1-3 ink sacs or 1-4 ink sacs? Have not tested it yet. When I am able to, I will check many times if glow squids can actually drop 4 ink sacs. Blockofnetherite ^{Talk Contributions} 18:39, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

Tested in-game and no time I ever got 4, the person who put 4 most likely had another in their inventory. The loot table also doesn't have 1-4, it has 1-3. – Unavailablehoax (talk) 18:53, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

Bedrock item name changed

The equivalent name for the Java glow_ink_sac in Bedrock is currently dye_powder_glow as per developer release 1.17.0.54_rc2

The recipe you give for the compound creator makes ink sac, not glow ink sac

Zombies no pick up

This information is only present in the page history, and I think it should be in the article body. It's basically a unique property of the item. However, I don't know where to add it; would it be in "uses," even though it's not a use (it would technically be a use for all the other items lol)? Aloi4 (talk) 13:06, 18 June 2026 (UTC)

The example sign shouldn’t be dyed

There’s an image of a sign with glow ink in the usage section, but it’s also dyed orange. It’s not the most egregious thing ever but I feel like it could be a but confusing for someone who doesn’t know you can dye signs.

I don’t know how to make the isometric renders the wiki has but at the very least the caption should be changed to mention the orange dye as well. TheMiningCrafter (talk) 06:28, 18 October 2026 (UTC)
