Soren's laboratory was a dedicated workspace inside his mansion. It appeared in The Last Place You Look.

Location

Soren's laboratory is located inside his End mansion and can be accessed from the corridor next to his wool world.

History

In The Last Place You Look, Jesse, Reuben, and Olivia entered the laboratory after hearing some music playing and a voice that was coming from behind a door. They notice that the voice was coming from the jukebox, and Soren was not actually in the room. One of the records later revealed that Soren had disguised himself as an enderman, and that he was conducting an experiment on endermen behavior, specifically defining a set of building instructions to train them. Jesse later finds a blueprint in a chest, which Olivia believes are being used to train the endermen. After wearing a enderman suit and having collected the five clay blocks from the laboratory, Jesse goes outside to take the sixth block from an enderman and complete a crafting grid, to which Jesse is knocked out by Soren in a enderman suit shortly after.

Olivia: The whole point of the disguise is to AVOID that kind of attention.

Jesse: We, um, just need to get his attention without riling up the Endermen.

I’ll be stealthy.

Jesse: We just need to stand out without being seen. Like a shadow in the night.

Olivia: What.

I’ll be crafty.

Jesse: Soren’s trying to teach the Endermen to build the shape in those instructions, right?

Jesse: I bet if I complete it, that would REALLY get his attention.

Olivia: I think I’ve got it! Soren’s studying all the interesting Enderman behavior.

Olivia: You just need to give him some really interesting Enderman behavior to study.

(Reuben makes noises.): Jesse: Uh huh. Uh huh. Yeah?
(Reuben continues to tell the joke by making noises and delivers the punchline while smiling.): Jesse: Ha! Oh, man. That is good. A little risqué, but real good. Hoo. You slay me buddy.
