Minor locations (print)
Throughout the various Minecraft books, many minor locations appear. These are locations that have been given a name and geography, but not significant development.
Max Brooks' trilogy
[edit | edit source]Jungle
[edit | edit source]Located between Summer's mountain and Guy's village, the jungle features pandas, parrots, and a jungle temple, the latter of which the party stayed in for one evening. Phantoms also attacked the party at one point.
Amethyst geode
[edit | edit source]While exploring in a cave, Guy and Summer find an amethyst geode. Guy expresses joy at the discovery and suggests the group make this their new home. Summer declines. The party crafts a spyglass and departs the way they came.
The End
[edit | edit source]Terminus
[edit | edit source]Terminus is a holy island in the End. Kraj and Eresha have an argument there, and the latter is thrown off the island.
The Voyage
[edit | edit source]Desert of the Last Sigh
[edit | edit source]The Desert of the Last Sigh is a desert that Hejira, who travels significantly faster than most characters, travelled across for six days without sleep.
Desolation Bay
[edit | edit source]A large desert, with a bay on the coast. Shortly after setting off, Fouge Tempro and his associates build a small base out of a stone tower in Desolation Bay. Shortly after, the protagonist arrives and stays in the tower, which he repaired, for three nights. Kelp grows off the coast, which served as a food source for Stax Stonecutter.
"Garden spot of the Southern Sea"
[edit | edit source]A small deserted island, described as a beach, located not far from Stax's house. The bandits stay there for the night at one point, and Fouge Tempro lectures Stax on the insignificance of simple life there. Kivak referred to the island with the name used here.
Ice field
[edit | edit source]An icy biome near and to the north of the Stonecutter Penninsula. Inhabited by many polar bears, who attack the party, it is the first location the characters travelled to.
Omphalos
[edit | edit source]Located east of the large mountain, the Omphalos is another term for the "origin point". This name is also used in Greek mythology to refer to the same concept.
Near the Omphalos are the ruins of a city, more ancient than any that are known. Structures that remain include the fragments of walls and towers.
Outposts
[edit | edit source]Stax Stonecutter's father made a number of outposts for his adventures, ranging in size from large houses to very small outposts. One such outpost is located in a badlands biome in the north.
Porto Reynes
[edit | edit source]Near Porto Reynes is an ocean monument that was allegedly turned into an adventurer's home. Characters doubt this because Porto Reynes is very far away.
River House
[edit | edit source]River House is Ramoa's home base, located in the south of the map. Ramoa usually stays there for only a few weeks at a time, preferring to explore the world.
Sea of Sorrows
[edit | edit source]An ocean, bordered by Desolation Bay to the west and Tumbles Harbor to the east. There is an ocean monument which Stax Stonecutter stumbles across, bright enough to be visible as a light from sea level, and inhabited by guardians, also referred to as the "Old Ones". There are many ruined structures on one coastline. There are various islands in the sea, including a chain of several that Stax Stonecutter each names Stax Island and Stonecutter Island in an alternating pattern.
Dark Horse Comics
[edit | edit source]Candace's Farms
[edit | edit source]Near Hibiscus House is a network of fields recently built by Candace while Tyler Collins was busy moving. It is devoted to sheep.
Tobi's Mines
[edit | edit source]Near Hibiscus House is a strip mine recently built by Tobi while Tyler was busy moving. Located in what appears to be the deepslate layer, it features a network of rails. Notably, the tunnel is circular.
Tyler's new school
[edit | edit source]Shortly before the events of the plot, Tyler and his family moved across the country. Tyler complains about the school, lamenting about the student culture; according to him, most of the students form cliques, and the school has an official uniform, which is complained about.
The Dragon
[edit | edit source]Great Rift
[edit | edit source]The Great Rift is a ravine an hour's walk from Sienna Dunes. Many exposed ores are seen there, as well as a half-buried desert pyramid.
Mountain
[edit | edit source]Long ago, Zetta's grandmother went to a mountain to live her life in solitude. Later, the party would initially store the Ender dragon on a cave on the side of the mountain, with a cobblestone barricade, but the dragon quickly escapes. The mountain is known to be grassy and has a field of flowers with multiple bees.
Castle Redstone
[edit | edit source]Ocean Monument
[edit | edit source]While traversing an ocean, one party member comes across an ocean monument. The group does not loot it due to the danger posed by guardians, who attack the group's boat.
Forest
[edit | edit source]Offshore of the ocean is a forest biome. There are many large but abandoned buildings, and quite a bit of redstone mechanics connecting them.
Witch's Hut
[edit | edit source]During their adventure, the group gets trapped by a witch in a swamp after being led there by a wolf, later named Good Boy. They break free and kill the witch, with Good Boy delivering the final blow.
Journey to the Ancient City
[edit | edit source]Central End island
[edit | edit source]The initial point of arrival by the party in the End. Opal killed the ender dragon some time ago. After arriving, the group quickly goes through an End gateway.
End city
[edit | edit source]After going through the gateway, the party loots an End city with an End ship. The raid goes roughly, but is still successful.
Ironsword Chronicles
[edit | edit source]Ferris household
[edit | edit source]During Running Hot and Cold!, Principal Ferris reminisces about his childhood, mentioning that one side of his house was above a pizza parlor owned by his grandparents.
