The leftover is a joke block exclusive to Java Edition 20w14∞ that forms the "zones" in the "zones" dimension.

Obtaining

[edit | edit source]

The leftover cannot be obtained as an item even by using the /give command. The leftover can be placed using commands such as /fill or /setblock, and naturally generates in the "zones" dimension. It cannot be destroyed by tools or explosions.

Natural generation

[edit | edit source]

Leftovers naturally generate in the "zones" in the "zones" dimension, forming areas of danger throughout the overworld-like environment. They mostly spawn covering small patches of the ground in any biome and are usually one block thick, occasionally there can be large areas of leftover blocks covering entire small biomes to a depth of several blocks.

Usage

[edit | edit source]

The leftover is non-solid, and invisible apart from emitting "Composter" particles. An entity entering it is inflicted by Blindness II and Poison IV for 3 seconds each. It is not possible for other blocks to be placed inside of a leftover, nor can pistons move or destroy it. When an item is thrown into it, it affects the gravity of the item.

Sounds

[edit | edit source]
This section uses a sound table which may not accurately represent the sounds associated with this feature.
Because of MC-177082, subtitles for falling on blocks may not have existed at this point in development, so a dedicated sound table accounting for this may be required.
