Ironsword Academy Middle School is the setting of the Minecraft: Ironsword Academy franchise and the school attended by the characters in the series.
Architecture
[edit | edit source]The campus features several buildings of varying styles, some of which are several stories tall. The largest building is the one with the front door, featuring a triangular roof with a radar dish and multiple stories. Behind this is a more modern, skyscraper-like building with at least seven floors. Near the entrance is another building, supporting what appears to be a billboard that is completely empty other than an image of what appears to be the Ironsword Academy Middle School Crest: a sword in front of a shield with a depiction of a rising sun. There is a flag on top of this, featuring the same rising sun motif. The entire campus is surrounded by brick walls, which are themselves decorated with trees.
Inside, the building is a labyrinthine complex of multiple buildings, courtyards, and floors, which Morgan Mercado compares to the castle his friends built earlier.

[edit | edit source]The Ironsword Academy basement, which is usually kept dark, stores the electronic equipment.
Cafeteria
[edit | edit source]The Ironsword Middle School cafeteria has a number of tables, including one which is reserved for the student council.
Hall of History
[edit | edit source]The Hall of History is a miniature, museum-like space where artifacts, including suits of armor, are collected. Students are tasked with polishing the suits of armor.
Outdoor courtyards
[edit | edit source]Ironsword Academy has a number of outdoor courtyards. One of them features a koi pond, while another features a statue that the students regard as "spooky" because its eyes follow students as they walk past.
Culture

[edit | edit source]The school is led by Principal Ferris, who enforces strict policies that frequently pose problems for the characters. The school administration tries to present the image of a prestigous academic institution. Known examples of demonstrations of school rules and image include the head of the student government writing an essay praising Ironsword organization, frequent lectures on the prestigious image of the school, and one incident where the Block Headz were sent to the principal's office for getting in a pretend sword fight with members of the student government. According to the administration, the school has state-of-the-art cybersecurity technology.
Class schedule and academics
[edit | edit source]The school starts sometime after 7:30 in the morning, with the first event of the day being morning announcements to the entire school, which do not usually vary based on certain unexpected events. A school bell is used to mark the end of each class. This school has various competitive teams, including a robotics club and a student government, the latter of which is known for playing tricks on new students.
