The Mosstrosity is a secret monstrosity boss that can summon moss cubes. It relies on using ranged area of effect attacks, heavy melee attacks that do area damage, and the use of flower blooms that act as proximity mines that leave behind poisonous flower puddles. The poison created by the Mosstrosity lasts much longer than normal poison. It drops the Wonderful Wheat talisman after being fought.
Spawning
[edit | edit source]The Mosstrosity spawns in the Lush Caves of Howling Woods, which is only unlocked after obtaining all eight secret talismans. The Mosstrosity does not have a revive quest; the only way to revive it is by the "Reset to Checkpoint" option in the pause menu or by leaving the game.
Behavior
[edit | edit source]Attack 1
[edit | edit source]It stomps three times, creating flower blooms, and canceling the attack to perform a charge if the target moves too far away, dealing medium damage and light knockback.
Attack 2
[edit | edit source]It stomps twice, creating flower blooms, and canceling the stomps to perform the slam if the target moves too far away, then slams its arms down to deal heavy area damage and knockback, leaving behind a large flower puddle.
Attack 3
[edit | edit source]It performs a quick belly flop on its target, dealing very heavy damage and knockback to the target anything nearby. This does not leave behind flower puddles in any way, and is the only attack that does so.
Charge
[edit | edit source]It charges forward, leaving behind a trail of flower blooms at the point of origin. The charge itself inflicts heavy damage and knockback, but can only damage each hero it hits once. It will only use this attack when the target is too far for any of its other attacks to work, and will cancel its current attacks to use this to close the distance.
Cube summon
[edit | edit source]It slams its hands into the ground, glows green with flame and roars, summoning a medium number of moss cubes. They target the heroes with weak attacks, and can be killed for a large gain in souls.
Plant projectile
[edit | edit source]It bends over and mounts itself on the ground, then fires three bursts of multiple plant projectiles from its back. These projectiles explode on impact, leaving behind flower puddles. The amount of flower puddles left from this are enough to cover half the arena. It fires them from the outside of the firing zone inward, in order to corral its targets towards it.
