ClownCompTool (or Clownacy's Compression Tool) is a Qt-based frontend for flamewing's mdcomp compression library, created by Clownacy.
It's essentially a modern version of The Sega Data Compressor, providing an easy way to handle data compression used in Sonic games on the Sega Mega Drive, as well as modern community-created compression formats. A file can be selected via the file browser, or simply drag-and-dropped onto it. The source format is automatically taken from the file extension, though it can be manually changed. After specifying a target format and clicking Compress or Decompress, the converted file will be saved at the specified target path.

ClownCompTool can be downloaded at its GitHub repository. Only Windows and Linux executables are provided; users of other operating systems are expected to build the program from its source code.
