Title: Windows floating pet remains click-through and cannot be dragged
Environment:
- Windows 11 Pro, Build 26200, 64-bit
- ChatGPT/Codex desktop app 26.825.4187.0
- Display: 2560×1440, 100% scaling
Expected:
The floating pet should receive mouse input and be draggable.
Actual:
The pet remains click-through. Clicking or dragging it selects the window underneath, so the pet cannot be moved.
Troubleshooting already attempted:
- Fully restarted the app
- Reset the Windows app data
- Tucked away and woke the pet again
- Switched to another built-in pet
- Temporarily stopped other transparent-overlay applications
- Confirmed there is no Store update available
The issue persists after all steps. OS-level hit testing shows that clicks at the pet’s position are routed to the window behind it instead of the pet overlay.
