Summary
After updating Codex Desktop for Mac, recent existing threads are not visible in the sidebar unless pinned. The threads still exist: internal thread lookup can find/read them, and pinning makes them appear.
Environment
- Product: Codex Desktop for Mac
- Current version:
0.142.0
- Affected thread was created before the update
- Host: local macOS
Observed behavior
- A recent all-day thread was missing from the sidebar.
- Internal thread listing could still find it.
- Reading the thread by internal id worked.
- Pinning the thread made it appear in the sidebar.
- Unpinned visibility appears broken or filtered after the update.
Expected behavior
Recent local threads should appear in the sidebar without requiring pinning. If a project/worktree filter is active, it should be visible and searchable recovery should still work.
Suspected area
Sidebar thread index/filter hydration after update, possibly related to project/worktree scoping or older thread metadata migration.
