macOS 27 Safari doesn't work with Node-RED v5.0.7 #5965

Description

@ashokaiyar

Switching between flow tabs results in the entire page being reloaded and the interface returns to the first/main flow tab. As shown in the attached video. Don't know if this can be fixed on the Node-Red. I also submitted an Apple bug report.

    Thank you! I just found that earlier today - don't know how I missed it last night.

    @AdamVR7

    I can confirm that this issue is not limited to macOS. I am seeing the same behaviour on an iPad running iPadOS 27 with Safari 27.

    Behaviour

    When the Node-RED editor is open and I tap another flow tab:

    1. Instead of switching to the selected flow, Safari reloads the entire Node-RED editor page.
    2. After the reload, the editor returns to the first/main flow tab.
    3. Repeating the attempt to switch tabs can trigger the same full-page reload again.

    This looks essentially identical to the behaviour shown in the video in the original report.

    So the problem also affects Safari/WebKit on iPadOS 27, not just Safari 27 on macOS. That may help narrow this down to a Safari/WebKit 27 change rather than something macOS-specific.

    If there is any specific test, browser console output, or Node-RED editor diagnostic information that would help isolate the problem, I can try to provide it from the iPad.
