[Bug]: Unchanged location is struck through in calendar event update email (Talk link) #65125

Description

@DenisLug

⚠️ This issue respects the following points: ⚠️

  • This is not a troubleshooting question, general support matter, or webserver/proxy problem, but likely a bug (if unsure, ask the Community Help Forum).
  • This issue is not already reported on Github OR solved at the Community Help Forum (I've searched!).
  • I'm using a maintained major version of Nextcloud Server and tested against the latest patch level. (Supported major versions and current patch levels).
  • I agree to follow Nextcloud's Code of Conduct.
  • I've tried my best to provide clear reproduction steps that someone unfamiliar with this bug could use to reproduce it.

Bug description

When I update a calendar event that has attendees, the update email shows the location (a Talk link) with a strikethrough. The location did not change. The event editor still shows the same Talk link. The email shows only the struck-through link. No new value follows it. The attendees see a link that looks removed, but the link still works.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create an event in Calendar with at least one attendee.
  2. Click "Add Talk conversation". The location field holds the Talk link.
  3. Save the event. Send the invitation.
  4. Update the event (for example, change the description or the time). Do not change the location.
  5. Open the update email of an attendee.

Expected behavior

The unchanged location is shown as normal text, without a strikethrough.

    Presumably coming from somewhere around here, but sure offhand why:

    $meetingUrlAsLinkChanged = !empty($oldMeetingUrlAsLink) && $oldMeetingUrlAsLink !== $data['meeting_url_html'];
