LoadNamelist("ybd.nam") causes syntax error #5904

Description

@cfr42

Thanks very much for making fontforge.

I am not sure if this is actually a regression or if fontforge has just been more tolerant in the past, but I have a script I've been using for years which now errors both locally (Arch) and on a GitHub runner (Ubuntu).

Specifically, when I invoke a script directly with sh on my local system,

LoadNamelist("ybd.nam")

causes failure with

ff-ybd.pe: line 4: syntax error near unexpected token `"ybd.nam"'
ff-ybd.pe: line 4: `LoadNamelist("ybd.nam")'

On the GitHub runner, where the script is called by make from another script, I get

  Generating type 1 from BerenisADFPro-Bold.otf
  ./ff-ybd.pe BerenisADFPro-Bold.otf
  ./ff-ybd.pe: 4: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")")
  make: *** [Makefile.make:183: ybdb.pfb] Error 2

I've looked at the scripting docs and, as far as i can tell, this should work: LoadNamelist() is listed under 'Built-in procedures that do not require a loaded font' and "..." seems to be an appropriate syntax to specify the file, which is always in the same directory as the script.

I'm not sure it matters, but in case it does, the full script is extremely simple:

#!/usr/bin/fontforge -lang=ff

LoadNamelist("ybd.nam")

i = 1

while ( i < $argc )

  Open($argv[i])
  RenameGlyphs("ybd")

  # to make an even number of $ signs
  Generate($argv[i]:r + ".pfb","",-1)
  i = i+1

endloop

# vim: set nospell:

The version of fontforge I have locally (Arch):

I am not entirely sure which version GitHub has, beyond whatever their Ubuntu runner provides, but I would be happy to get that information, if needed.

I keep thinking I must be missing something, but I haven't touched this script in years, and I've not touched the Makefile for some time, either.
