Summary
Adds an integration page for Court Rules, a free reference for U.S. federal and state court rules, local rules and judge standing orders. The Court Rules maintainers are submitting it.
The page documents
court-rules-haystack(repo, MIT):CourtRulesRetrieverreturns court filing rules asDocuments. The metadata carries the court, judge, rule type, citation and official source URL.CourtRulesToolsetgives anAgentfive read-only tools:list_courts,list_judges,get_judge_rules,search_filing_rulesandlist_court_holidays.Why
Filing rules differ by court and by judge: page limits, courtesy copies, pre-motion letters, e-filing and service. Court Rules extracts them from the courts' published documents and serves them through a REST API, each with a citation and the source URL. This package makes that data available in Haystack pipelines and agents. The page shows a RAG pipeline and a filing-prep agent that combines the toolset with a firm's own checklists (BM25 over an
InMemoryDocumentStore).Validation
haystack-ai3.0.0 and 3.2.0 (Python 3.12). CI passes on Python 3.10 to 3.13 with ruff, mypy and pytest: https://github.com/foklepoint/court-rules-haystack/actionshttpx.MockTransport. No API key was used and no live API call was made.examples/. They were run end to end with a scriptedMockChatGeneratorand stubbed Court Rules responses, not with a hosted model or the live API. Using the live API needs a free key from https://console.courtrules.app.pip installcommand on the page was run against the publishedv0.1.0tag.Notes
