I run engineering teams and build production systems. Seven years at Intuit (QuickBooks), where I grew the APAC web function from one person into the regional engineering team and led the technical delivery of the company's largest product launch. On my own time I design, build and operate machine learning and computer vision pipelines, mostly pointed at the night sky.
Astro Coverage Planner is your astrophotography catalogue, visualised. It reads your entire FITS library, draws every field you've ever shot onto a real sky map with professional survey data behind it, and lets you plan whole seasons of imaging: smart search across your archive, catalogue overlays for finding new targets, mosaic planning, and one-click export to N.I.N.A's Target Scheduler. Free and open source (MIT), with a companion plugin published on the official N.I.N.A marketplace.
- Satellite active-fire detection. Porting the segmentation architecture from a personal nebula-detection pipeline into Earth observation, including a controlled bake-off between a frozen foundation-model encoder and a fully trained U-Net++. Going public when the first results land.
- Tellisto. A client gallery and CRM platform for photographers. Opening its beta soon.
- A deep-learning nebula hunt. An end-to-end ML system (data pipeline, training infrastructure, evaluation harness) that searches multi-wavelength survey imagery for undiscovered objects. Private for now; happy to talk through it.
President of the Northern Sydney Astronomical Society, where I also build the club's software: event check-in, comet alerts, observation planning.
