Description
In the V2 TUI, --auto only approves permission requests for the currently selected session route. An open background tab can remain blocked until the user selects it, at which point the request is approved and execution continues.
The auto-approval effect currently lives in packages/tui/src/routes/session/index.tsx, while background tab permission state is loaded by session-tabs.tsx.
Steps to reproduce
- Start the TUI with
opencode --auto.
- Open two session tabs and let both run.
- Keep one tab selected while the background session reaches a permission request, such as
external_directory.
- Observe that its tool does not start.
- Select the blocked tab; it is approved and continues.
Expected: auto mode handles permission requests for every open tab and its child sessions.
