Directory symlink displayed as empty file #18963

Description

@chris-sharl

Description

Bug: Directory symlink displayed as empty file

Environment:

  • OS: macOS (darwin)
  • OpenCode version: 1.3.0
    Description:

A directory symlink pointing to ai/skills is displayed as an empty file instead of an expandable directory in the file tree.

.opencode/skills -> ai/skills

Expected behavior:

Directory symlinks should be displayed as directories and be expandable (similar to VS Code behavior).

OpenCode version

1.3.0

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a directory symlink:
    ln -s ai/skills .opencode/skills
  2. Open the project in OpenCode
  3. Check how .opencode/skills appears in the file tree

Additional info:

  • VS Code displays the symlink correctly as a directory
  • ls -la .opencode/ output:
    drwxr-xr-x  3 user  staff   96 ... .
    drwxr-xr-x 12 user  staff  384 ... ..
    drwxr-xr-x  3 user  staff   96 ... rules
    lrwxr-xr-x  1 user  staff   12 ... skills -> ai/skills
