About

Artist Bio

Niall James Horan (born September 13th, 1993) is an Irish singer-songwriter, musician, and founder of Modest! Golf Management company. He auditioned on The X Factor at 16 years of age as a solo act and he came to worldwide prominence when he and four other boys were joined together to form pop boy band One Direction, which became one of the biggest boy bands in the world. Since the band’s hiatus in 2015, Horan has released two solo albums, has collaborated with the likes of Maren Morris, Julia Michaels and Ashe and has created a track for animated comedy film Smallfoot.

In September 2016, it was revealed that Niall had signed a solo contract with Capitol Records.
Following this news, Horan released his debut solo single “This Town,” becoming the first One Direction member to release solo music. “This Town” showcases his songwriting skills and vocals, as Horan strips everything down to him and his guitar. In support of the single, he also uploaded a one-take acoustic version of the single. The song peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart on January 14th, 2017.

In May 2017, “Slow Hands,” a homage to Horan’s ‘70s and '80s classic rock influences, was released. This track peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart on September 30th, 2017. Horan’s debut solo album Flicker was released on October 20th, 2017. It debuted on the Billboard 200 at #1, selling 152,000 copies in its first official week of sales.

Three years later, Horan released his sophomore album Heartbreak Weather, which produced four singles: “Nice to Meet Ya,” “Put a Little Love on Me,” “No Judgement” and “Black and White.” The album debuted at the top of the Irish Albums Chart and UK Albums Chart. It also opened at number four on the US Billboard 200 with 59,000 album-equivalent units and 42,000 pure album sales. Niall held a show at Royal Albert Hall with Ashe for We Need Crew later that year.

In 2023, he released his third album The Show, including the two previously released singles “Heaven” and “Meltdown.” Five months later, he released the deluxe version, The Show: The Encore, featuring collaborations with Lizzy McAlpine and John Legend, stripped and live versions of his songs, as well as a cover. The album debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and number 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart and Vinyl Albums chart, continuing his streak of chart success.

Meanwhile, Horan participated in The Voice as a coach in the 23rd season (2023), the 24th season (2023-2024) and later returned in the 28th season (2025). He became the first coach in The Voice history to win each of their three seasons.

During 2024 he was on his first headlining tour since 2018 and released The Show: Live From Madison Square Garden and a deluxe version The Show: Live On Tour, featuring additional recordings from other cities.

In 2025, he released Heartbreak Weather (5 Year Anniversary Edition), including the previously only physically available bonus tracks “Dress” and “Nothing,” as well as the stripped versions of “Nice to Meet Ya” and “Black and White,” which had already been released earlier as singles, and live versions.

His fourth album, Dinner Party, was released in June 2026, preceded by the title track, followed by “Little More Time” and “End of an Era,” the latter of which serves as a special tribute to his former bandmate Liam Payne. The album debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200, making it his fourth top-ten album. Dinner Party: Live On Tour began in September 2026 and is scheduled to run through May 2027, spanning Europe, Australia, North America and Mexico.
