Weather Outlook for the Week of October 20, 2026
There's a lot of storminess affecting North America as we march toward winter, but Pennsylvania is presently in a high pressure zone, so lots of sunshine, little precipitation, and frosty nights will prevail across the state through the latter part of next week. A cold front will cross the state late next week bringing colder weather for Friday, but temperatures should rebound for the weekend of October 31st. Beyond that, forecasts are mixed with some models predicting colder weather as we head into November, but others keep temperatures above normal. For the month so far, temperatures are averaging 2-4°F above normal while precipitation has been scant across the northern half of the state, but above normal across southern areas.
For Thursday, expect continued sunny skies and a northerly breeze, a bit stiff in eastern areas. High temperatures Thursday will be in the upper 50s to mid 60s. Friday and Saturday will continue sunny with lighter winds and a little cooler with highs both days in the 50s to lower 60s. Sunday and Monday will be a little milder again with a few clouds creeping into western areas. Temperatures both days will be mainly in the 60s. A weak cold front will slip across the state Tuesday bring a few clouds and slightly cooler temperatures ranging from the mid 50s to lower 60s, and then for Wednesday and Thursday, skies will be partly cloudy with temperatures mainly in the 50s. Longer term, the month of November is expected to average well-above normal in temperature and above normal for precipitation, especially in eastern areas.
