Your work should remember itself.
BlackRoad is the continuous operating system for AI-native work: one place to code, chat, execute, collaborate, search, manage projects, and run local AI and devices — with permissions, proof, and recovery built into every route.
Private alpha. 1 of 15 named products answers a request today — the list is below, and every host in it is checkable.
You are the integration layer
Every one of these tools is good at its own job. The cost is what happens between them, and it does not appear on any invoice — it lands on you. That is the integration tax: the financial, cognitive, security and coordination cost transferred to the person in the middle.
- 01Explain the project again The chat ended, so the context went with it.
- 02Find the latest state Three tools disagree about what shipped.
- 03Re-authenticate, twice A token expired and nothing said which one.
- 04Copy context across tabs You are the transport layer between them.
- 05Guess whether it worked One vendor showed a green check. Nothing verified it.
- 06Rebuild after a failure The path that produced the break is gone.
One road, end to end
intent → verified outcomeThe same work, as one continuous route. Each step is a state you can inspect, and the transition between two states is the thing that usually goes missing.
- 01Intent A conversation, a request, or an idea — kept as project state.
- 02Project state Decisions, artifacts, dependencies and intent, addressable later.
- 03Code Files and diffs you can read, not a black box that reports success.
- 04Permission A scoped, expiring key per actor. Inspectable and revocable.
- 05Execution The commands and the route, visible while they run.
- 06Verification An explicit completion condition, tested — not assumed.
- 07Receipt Actor, permission, inputs, environment, result, limitations, time.
- 08Resumption Pick the project back up without reconstructing it by hand.
What a receipt looks like
ExampleA receipt is not a log line. It records the actor, the permission it used, the environment, the result, and what it did not establish. The last field is the one that makes it worth having.
- actor
- agent:roadcode
- key
- build:read, registry:push — expires in 42m
- environment
- node 24.2 · linux/arm64 · local
- checked
- HTTP 200 on 3 routes, twice, 40s apart
- limitation
- no load test ran; this is reachability, not capacity
The second card is the point. It says what it verified and what it did not, so “deployed” cannot quietly come to mean “probably fine”.
Six things that have to be true
Each of these is a promise with a mechanism behind it. A promise without one is a slogan.
Continuity
Your chat should end. Your project should not.
Canonical state, durable handoffs, source-linked memory.
Execution
From conversation to running system, without losing the road between them.
Files, diffs, commands, tests, deploys, state transitions.
Authority
Every agent gets a key. No agent gets the whole building.
Scoped grants, approval, expiry, revocation, actor identity.
Proof
Proof, not green-check theater.
Receipts, provenance, environment, tests, limitations.
Locality
Local when you want it. Connected when you need it.
Local runtime, boundary disclosure, export, provider choice.
Recovery
Every failure needs a detour, not a blank screen.
Checkpoints, retries, rollback, partial-effect reporting.
Where you probably are
Stop rebuilding your project every time a tool forgets it.
Persistent project state, a guided route, local or remote execution, a receipt.
Bring one real projectTurn conversation into accountable work without hiring a human integration layer.
Shared state, durable handoffs, agent roles, tasks derived from execution.
Map your current workflowSee the files, commands, diffs, tests, environments and failure state behind the AI action.
Raw logs, reproducibility, APIs — progressive disclosure, not a hidden box.
Run the technical demoThe fair objections
“This sounds like too much in one product.”
It would be, if it copied every interface. It unifies state and routes, and reveals a specialised capability only when you need it.
“I already use GitHub, ChatGPT and Vercel.”
Keep them. The first value is not forced replacement — it is removing the manual handoffs and holding one current truth.
“AI tools already remember context.”
Conversation memory is not an inspectable project model with versions, sources, permissions, artifacts and recovery.
“Autonomous agents are risky.”
Correct. The point is not unlimited autonomy — it is explicit authority, visible state, approvals, receipts and revocation.
“A startup cannot replace my whole stack.”
It should not ask you to. Start with one broken journey, prove the improvement, and expand only where the evidence supports it.
The named products
1 of 15 servingListed last, deliberately. The product names are this company's internal architecture; the route above is what you would actually buy. Everything marked Not yet has no host that answers today, so it is not linked — and you can verify that from outside.

Not a demo project. The one that actually loses state on you.
- 01You tell us the project and the stack it currently spans. One paragraph is plenty.
- 02We count the route — tools, accounts, identity changes, copied context blocks, failure points. You get that count whether or not you continue.
- 03If the route is one BlackRoad can carry today, you get alpha access. If it is not, we tell you that instead of putting you on a list.
Private alpha, so this is an application rather than a signup. No card. We will say which it is before asking for anything.
